About the Costume: So it’s a purple vest I found on Amazon, and for Leslie I was able to find the screen accurate USA patch, and a really close rainbow patch. The Pawnee Goddesses patch I got on Etsy, which is hard to find in the correct colors now. The t-shirt is jut a lavender Hanes women’s shirt (now it’s a lavendar Amazon basics shirt), and the bandana is a white one that I dyed to be the right color. I used to wear a wig with it, but now since I wear a generic vest – I just wear it. Usually Thursday night at DragonCon, because it’s comfy af, especially to drink in.

Updates: For 2012 I made a vest with an assload more patches and personalize to me. I even used some of my old Girl Scout patches! Every year I add badges that I “earn” at con, too. I can’t wait to wear it again and meet up with the rest of the amazing ladies in Troop 42.

I’ve taught them too well. I’ve created a mob of little Leslie Knope monsters. I’m so proud. And a little annoyed. But mostly proud…70-30.
