Oh, what’s that? We have how many days until DragonCon? 75!? Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttt… Well, I guess that means we’re talking about it again. I’m working on a couple of costumes for con this year, including one I’ve been wanting to do for ages. I’m finally working on a vault dweller – the show re-lit the fire in my heart for Fallout, so I’m going all in. Unfortunately with not being able to work on sewing much until graduation, I ended up ordering a suit. BUT! Let me tell you, miccostumes did a phenomenal job and all I have to do is a couple of adjustments, and then weathering. The detail on their series-style vault suit is phenomenal, and they didn’t give me a lot of shit about not having a template to adjust to my size (I’m looking at you, procosplay). I’m also changing the number on the back, so I have to figure out a way to remove the adhesive from the numbers and cut out my own from a similar fabric (thank the Maker for my Silhouette Cameo Pro). Currently, I’m making props, armor, and weathering like a fiend.

Another costume for DragonCon that I am definitely bringing this year is my Shindig Dress. Nathan Fillion was announced (literally an hour ago of this writing), so Fluffy is coming out of semi-retirement! I haven’t worn it since 2016, so it’s well past time to bring her back. And now my friend Ash, the hubs, and I have decided to be Captain Hammer groupies for a photo op. I have not worn that in a long ass time. I mean I have the original release from Qmx way back in the day. Add it to the list!

A new costume for me this year will hopefully be my full Mando kit. I’ve pushed the vault dweller to the front, so if this ends up being a bit of a longer project, so be it. I have plenty of things to bring/wear. One of those is of course Agatha, as I do so love wearing it, even if I still haven’t finished the second version yet. Oops. Grad school happened!

Another costume I’m working on is for the Sixty Sexy Wizards. Radagast the Brown, fam! I cannot wait to do a goofy group costume, as those tend to be my favorite for Dragon!

I also may or may not bring my Ghostbusters parabiologist (black suit). I haven’t decided yet. We’ll see!

Here’s hoping I’m able to get everything done on time, and maybe make some time for things that have been on my list for *cough* years. Either way, I hope to have the final costume list done soon.
