Now that DragonCon has come and gone, I am finally able to do a proper writeup for my vault dweller. To be fair, I’ve been dealing with Con-Covid and then the busy season at work, so it’s been a lot since I got back from Atlanta. I even had to cancel the second trip (for runDisney), because of said covid. 🙁

For the write-up itself, I’ve tried to include as much information (and links/sources) as possible, but as always I’m available to answer any questions you may have to the best of my ability.

I learned a LOT this summer while working on this costume, and I am looking forward to tackling more prop-making and weathering projects. There’s still a lot I don’t know, so expanding my making abilities past just sewing is giving me all kinds of good brain tickles. It feels good to be making stuff again, but I will say it still feels super weird that I don’t have lectures, exams, or a damned thesis to pay attention to anymore!

This ended up being one of my favorite costumes to FINALLY tackle – I’ve been planning to do it for years but never really had the time or resources, and I will be improving it before next year. Much love to the Fallout Tacticians costuming group for helping me get this beast of a project done! Now to plan for 2025…
