Finished Dress

One of my most popular tutorials (and most requested items) – is Zuul! As with anyone who sews, with every Zuul dress I make I learn something new (or something to add to the pattern!).

That being said, I have since updated the pattern graphic and tutorial with as much info as I can possibly add.

2017 Zuul Progress – Just needed to finish the sleeves!

I only make about one of these a year (I work full time and I make my own cosplays), though I think I’ll start offering them more often in my Etsy shop. This year’s Halloween commission is already done, so I’m ready to make another!

I’m also always willing to help people make their own versions. You can check out the updated tutorial page and as always, feel free to ask me any questions.

And remember – There is no Dana, only Zuul.

hello and welcome!

Here you’ll find costume builds, sewing projects, tutorials, convention adventures, and plenty of fandom-inspired creations. Whether it’s Star Wars, Marvel, Doctor Who, historical fashion, bag making, or the occasional quilting project, I love exploring the intersection of creativity, craftsmanship, and nerd culture.

Pull up a chair, grab a cup of tea, and join me as I share works in progress, finished projects, lessons learned, and the occasional sewing mishap along the way.
